Where is LOVE?
How do you define LOVE? Do you see or have met LOVE? Have you seen LOVE? I paused and realized the word itself is so broad and bold as it is. I have seen different forms of it, but nothing comes close to defining it in one word. Maybe, at the end of this article I will finally come close to describing who is LOVE. Regardless, you believe it or not, LOVE do exist! and it should be celebrated. We’re lucky that every year we are reminded of this little four-letter word that has encompass us so much.
L-O-V-E, Feb 14. I know LOVE is important. What is it we want from LOVE? or how do we find LOVE, is it called Cupid? where he matches you with someone that suits you? Or he is just a symbol of hope. That good things will come no matter what situation you are into.
This beautiful poem.
LOVE is patient.
LOVE is kind.
LOVE does not envy or boast.
LOVE it is not proud.
LOVE is not angry and keeps no records of past mistakes.
LOVE does not delight in evil
LOVE rejoices in the truth
Some of you who are reading this would probably say, non-sense .....

You probably say I have no clue what love truly is or don’t know a thing about “LOVE”. I’m sorry to disappoint you but I do. Every year were given a date to remember and celebrate I call it “LOVE”. Yet for many of us, we are so busy dealing with our own responsibilities between home and work that we forget this remarkable day that was set aside to honour LOVE. Who is he/she/it? So why is it important to find LOVE and celebrate it ???
I’ll first start with what we know of the history of the date, FEB 14 .
Taken from the Wikipedia website.
”Valentine's Day, also called Saint Valentine's Day or the Feast of Saint Valentine, is celebrated annually on February 14. Originating as a Western Christian feast day honoring one or two early saints named Valentinus, Valentine's Day is recognized as a significant cultural, religious, and commercial celebration of romance and romantic love in many regions around the world, although it is not a public holiday in any country.
Martyrdom stories associated with various Valentines connected to February 14 are presented in martyrologies, including a written account of Saint Valentine of Rome imprisonment for performing weddings for soldiers, who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians persecuted under the Roman Empire. According to legend, during his imprisonment Saint Valentine restored sight to the blind daughter of his judge, and before his execution he wrote her a letter signed "Your Valentine" as a farewell.
The day first became associated with romantic love within the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in the 14th century, when the tradition of courtly love flourished. In 18th-century England, it evolved into an occasion in which lovers expressed their love for each other by presenting flowers, offering confectionery, and sending greeting cards (known as "valentines"). Valentine's Day symbols that are used today include the heart-shaped outline, doves, and the figure of the winged Cupid. Since the 19th century, handwritten valentines have given way to mass-produced greeting cards. In Europe, Saint Valentine's Keys are given to lovers "as a romantic symbol and an invitation to unlock the giver’s heart", as well as to children, in order to ward off epilepsy (called Saint Valentine's Malady).”
There are so many stories behind the origin of Valentines Day and the superstitious beliefs surrounding this day. One thing is for sure that at least I know is that we should celebration Love, regardless of who is it or where you are or what kind of love you have be it new found love, long time love, the love between family or friends, pets or life itself it does not matter. What matters the most is to celebrate it with whom you love. This kind of day is truly one to be celebrated especially with all the things going on in this world. Wouldn’t you agree? We need more of this than a cup of coffee, although like most people I do love coffee, so yeah coffee will do too. : ) Oh wait… we have coffee and love as well.
Every year we should celebrate this because this is a day that you acknowledge that you are loved and have shared your love to someone or something. Celebrate it! Whether it is simple or extravagant. Get out and have a romantic dinner with your love ones, family or anyone you feel love for or who has a special place in your life. If money is an issue stay home try a new recipe, invite that special someone have some wine and put a nice clothes or new pajamas, just be creative put some romantic songs that both you or your family would love. Have some laughs. See a movie or share some passion together. Take a walk on the beach or although a park will do. If it is snowing like now, have a candle light dinner where the white light that the gives stream light to make it romantic or fire-up that old fire place have a little wine and just relax and enjoy the day. All that matters is that you spend time together having a unforgettable moments that will last at least a day and tomorrow back to reality of life, at least you say once a year a got to escape to the chaos and be treated like a queen or king. With an open heart ready to give everything you can for LOVE and ready to take it all in that you can share.
You know what they say about wine specially if it is a red wine, its good for your heart so as these three-little word…. S- ...……. hmmm what would that be……… hey, we have to be PG here (parental guidance) because you never know who is reading. I meant SUN ……..lol
Through that LOVE the universe that we live in is made better, brightens our shared world and reminds us of the joy in the lives that we live regardless of difficulties and pains that we encounter. LOVE is everywhere around us and in everything we have and do. LOVE is memory, a smell, a sound, and a touch. We do not need to hide from it, and we do not need to escape it. Welcome it, embrace it and except it for what it is without conditions. True LOVE will find you and you will find LOVE. Most importantly LOVE does not discriminate regardless who you are. If I sum it all my definition of LOVE in one word is, LOVE is GOOD! Its inside of each of us. Whoever meet LOVE they found happiness, the kind that money can’t buy. LOVE is someone who got your back, someone who will be there for you whether you are old and wrinkle. For richer and poor, sickness and on health.
I have found it in my life. I have found it in my family. It is what gives me my faith, my hopes and dreams. LOVE is what makes my day in the people around me, the experiences I pursue and the dreams that chase and working on. I am thankful for the LOVE in my life. I am thankful for the LOVE I have received throughout my life and I look forward to more LOVE that will come into my life.
Cheers to LOVE. Whoever it is, what ever it is, where ever it is, together let’s celebrate LOVE every year and with those in our lives lets celebrate. LOVE does not pick a day he/she /it is there all the time waiting for us to embrace and delighted by it. if we can do it every day that will be awesome.
Sit on a quite place hold your hand close to your heart and close your eyes and say what you want from LOVE, you never know it might come true. If you met LOVE… shout out and say I LOVE, YOU! And it will return to you.
I hope I made you smile.
